Jump'In Pelham Snail Double Jointed Bit

Composition: German Silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel) a relaxed and sturdy alloy.

Effect: The snail bit has some similarities with the Pelham but the horse feels no pressure on the neck as there is no action on the cheekpieces. It is the only lever bit that has no pressure on the neck. It is used in direct action with the curb chain and allows for less confinement than with the Pelham since it does not act on the angle of the head and neck.

Usage advice: It can be used direct, with links, or in four reins. The double joint makes this bit softer and less direct in its action.

Care advice: Rinse the bit well after each use to limit the buildup of residues and avoid discomfort for your horse.
