Mors Pessoa for Horse with Copper Rings Optimize your horse's performance with the Pessoa bit Jump'In, combining comfort and efficiency for quality training.
Composition: Blue Steel and 100% copper rings. The Blue Steel alloy that covers this range of bits Jump'In is made of 54% carbon and 46% manganese.
Effect: This bit is rather lowering; the classic Pessoa has a more direct leverage effect than the German Pessoa. The double jointed mouthpiece makes this bit more comfortable in the mouth by relieving uncomfortable pressure on the palate, and the rings on the central joint help the horse to relax while working. Blue Steel bits oxidise when exposed to air and moisture, resulting in a fine layer of rust with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates saliva production. As the horse produces more saliva, it gains better contact with the bit. During this oxidation process, the colour changes to grey/brown.
Usage advice: This bit can be used with reins fixed to the lower ring, with a snaffle or with two pairs of reins. Its slightly thinner mouthpiece compared to a standard one allows for a bit more finesse in what you are trying to achieve. The rings can help maintain the horse's focus while working and establish a better connection with its bit.
Maintenance advice: Rinse the bit well after each use to limit the build-up of residue and avoid discomfort for your horse.
