Composition: Blue Steel (54% carbon and 46% manganese)

The double break of this bit prevents pressure on the palate.

The Blue Steel oxidises when it comes into contact with air and moisture. A thin layer of rust with a sweet taste appears and naturally stimulates the production of saliva. As the horse salivates more, it makes better contact with the bit. During this oxidation process, the colour will change and the blue will turn into a grey/brown.

In addition to the rust, the copper rings on the central break also help promote relaxation in the mouth.
