Jump'In Needle Bit

Composition : Blue Steel. The Blue Steel alloy that covers this range of bits Jump'In is composed of 54% carbon and 46% manganese.

Effect : The needle bit has a direct action on the horse's mouth without any lever action. It is the bit that will offer the best possible support, which is why it is highly recommended for young horses. The single-joint self-locking mouthpiece allows for some play and freedom in contact, while still ensuring a greater level of control when needed.

The Blue Steel bits oxidize when exposed to air and moisture. A fine layer of rust with a sweet taste appears, which naturally stimulates saliva production. By salivating more, the horse makes better contact with its bit. In this oxidation process, the colour changes to grey/brown.

Usage advice : The self-locking bit can be perfectly suited for riders looking for a bit more control while still using a mouthpiece that is ergonomic and comfortable for the horse. Its slightly thinner mouthpiece than a standard one will allow for a bit more finesse in what we are trying to achieve.
