Effect : The Pelham is a good compromise between the bridle and the bit. It offers varying leverage depending on the length of the arms, the adjustment of the curb chain, and its setup. It leads to a flexion of the neck as well as pressure on the jaw.

Usage advice : The straight and narrow mouthpiece allows for greater control. All Pelhams can be used directly, with four reins, or with links. Similarly, the action of the curb chain can be softened with other types of curb chains such as leather or nylon.

Maintenance advice: Rinse the bit well after each use to limit the build-up of residues and prevent discomfort for your horse.
