Sram Rear brake caliper S900 direct mount

Offering great stopping power and better modulation, the S-900 brakes are the first Direct Mount brakes in the SRAM line. The mechanism, which synchronizes the brake pads for simultaneous engagement, is positioned laterally rather than centrally. This location greatly reduces lateral force, or energy is dissipated into the frame/fork rather than the caliper. The result is superior modulation and power, no spongy feel, and a quick return. The S-900 brakes will be fitted to the bikes of the WorldTour team, KATUSHA-Alpecin and will be available for purchase in March 2018.

The caliper is compatible with 28mm tires, and the pads are spread out to give room for modern wide rims. The pair weighs only 326g. They are compatible with all mechanical brake levers SRAM, including SRAM RED® eTap® levers, the S-900s provide a complete SRAM package for any road bike.
