Sport Series throttle tubes

The sport series throttle tubes RFX are replacement parts that are identical at a much lower cost than authentic parts. They are made from a nylon fabric coated with Teflon, ensuring smooth operation.

• Replacement throttle tubes for all known off-road motorcycles.
• Uses the same cam profile as the original part for good throttle control.
• The nylon fabric coated with Teflon ensures smooth operation.
• Will not mark handlebars like aluminium tubes.
• Open-ended design for use with aluminium hand guards if needed.

Installation instructions

• Slide the rubber sleeve down and remove the throttle housing, taking care to not damage the throttle cables when removing the old throttle tube.
• Carefully remove the grip from the old throttle tube if necessary.
• Check that the cables and housing are not too damaged or worn, clean and lubricate them or replace them if necessary.
• Clean the handlebar and check for damage where the old throttle tube has rotated on the handlebar; if there is a burr, replace the handlebar.
• Slide the new throttle tube onto the handlebar and lubricate it with a penetrating lubricant, preferably Maxima MPPL (do not use grease as it attracts dirt and causes the throttle to stick after a short period).
• Reassemble the throttle cables and housing using a penetrating lubricant.
• Tighten the throttle housing in the correct position on the handlebar.
• Adjust the cable free play to your liking.
• Turn the handlebar to its maximum position to check the proper functioning of the throttle and the correct routing of the cable; some cable readjustment may be necessary.
• Slide the rubber sleeve over the housing.
• Cover the end of the grip hole with insulating tape (to prevent glue from entering the throttle barrel) and apply a small amount of RFX special grip glue to the outer end of the throttle tube, on the outer diameter.
• Apply a small amount of RFX special grip glue inside the new grip and slide it onto the tube.
• Turn the grip into the correct position and let it dry.
• Apply the brake wire for grips RFX if necessary.
• After the glue has dried, check the throttle operation again.
