Discover the trailer hitch ABC Design, the essential accessory for family bike adventures, guaranteed flexibility!
The Tour bike trailer connects to your bike via a hitch. This essential connecting element mounts on the rear axle of your bike. Before you set off, you attach the drawbar and secure it. Since the connecting element stays on the bike, your trailer can be quickly attached or detached at any time after the hitch has been mounted once. A hitch is already included with your Tour. However, if you use more than one bike in your family’s daily life, the second hitch is perfect as an accessory. This way, you can equip both bikes with their own hitch and use them flexibly with your Tours. You can move around spontaneously with your Tour, regardless of the bike. To go to the playground or do some shopping, you use one bike, and for weekend cycling, the other bike pulls the trailer.
It's important to know: There are three axle systems for bikes. The solid axle, the quick-release axle, and the thru-axle. Depending on the axle system and the frame shape, an additional adapter or spacer may be needed. This should be indicated in your bike's user manual. Most of the time, you'll also find useful information about attaching a bike trailer to the specific model there.
