By installing the DRL CONTROL-BOX CB1 is the correct circuit between the daytime running lights and the front lighting on the given vehicle. In accordance with regulations, daytime running lights must be wired to switch off automatically when the main headlights are switched on. Since the main headlight is always on in vehicles without a light switch, the daytime running light function cannot be used properly. The BOX is suitable for both LED and conventional headlamps, and is installed between the main headlamp with integrated or separate daytime running light and the vehicle's electrical system. The parking light function, which is switched via the ignition switch when the vehicle is parked, is fully functional.

NOTE:

A separate on/off switch for DRL CONTROL-BOX is also required (not included).

The tail light must always remain on, i.e. set to contact plus.

Should it happen with this product in connection with the TYPE 6 headlight that it does not switch on the daytime running lights after starting the engine, please proceed as follows:

Install the 120 ohm resistor supplied as described in the instructions. Now the headlight should also switch the daytime running lights.
