It has been tested and certified to the EN 1621-2:2014 (level 2) standard.

The resistance of the pads can be maintained as they are made of several removable foam layers. The three back zones of the back protector shield the entire spine. For a secure fit, the stretchy mesh material is very comfortable to wear and prevents heat buildup due to its high breathability.

The front of the back protector features a zip that makes it easy to use. Injuries should be less severe, but cannot be completely avoided. Back protectors do not offer protection for the spine nor do they prevent injuries involving twists, bends, extensions, or severe compression of the body.

Avoid choosing a size that is too large, as this may interfere with the helmet, leading to dangerous riding conditions. Your back protector should always be secured, fit snugly to the torso, and should be worn over light clothing.

The foam in this back protector is sensitive to extreme temperatures. It can become brittle at low temperatures. Its protective value may decrease if exposed to high temperatures. Any alteration, incorrect cleaning, or misuse may harm the performance of your back protector. Impact tests are conducted under 900N.

Maintenance and obsolescence
Frequent visual inspections should be carried out for obvious signs of wear, especially after an accident. A severe fall may cause damage to the foam cells; obvious signs of this are thinning of the foam (dents) or a change in the foam texture. If in doubt, the garment should be replaced. Under normal conditions, it is recommended that your back protector be replaced at least every five years.
