Button or zip up the shirt and turn it inside out. Do not overload the washing machine. Set the washing machine to a delicate spin cycle. Hang the shirt to dry and gently stretch the collar, cuffs, and button placket. Do not wring the shirt. A light ironing may be desirable for that extra finishing touch.
