Leather Pelham for horse Give your horse the unparalleled comfort of the leather Pelham Jump'In, combining softness and efficiency for optimal performance.
Composition: Leather lined with nylon.
Important note to our customers: leather bits are not guaranteed against bites, even from the first use.
Effect: The Pelham is a good compromise between the bridle and the snaffle. It provides varying levels of leverage depending on the length of the arms, the adjustment of the curb chain, and its setup. It causes a surrender of the neck as well as pressure on the jaw. The bits Jump'In made of leather are very soft and comfortable for the horse. Unlike stainless steel, Sweet Iron, or other alloys, leather prevents too cold a contact.
Usage advice: All Pelhams can be used directly, with four reins, or with connections. Similarly, the action of the curb chain can be softened with other types of curb chains such as leather or nylon. The flat leather mouthpiece allows for the purest contact possible as it equates to skin on skin contact. The leather will significantly soften in the horse's mouth and establish a relationship of complete trust between the rider's hand, the bit, and the horse.
Care advice: Rinse the bit well after each use to limit residue buildup and prevent discomfort for your horse. Oil the leather with a vegetable oil (Caution: do not use neatsfoot oil or other synthetic oils) to maintain a soft and pleasant contact for your horse.
