Jump'In Pelham Leather Round Bit

Composition: Round leather.

Important note to our customers: leather bits are not guaranteed against bites, even from the very first use.

Effect: The Pelham is a good compromise between the bridle and the snaffle. It offers varying degrees of leverage depending on the length of the shanks, the adjustment of the curb chain, and its setup. It causes a lowering of the neck as well as pressure on the jaws. The bits Jump'In made of leather are very soft and comfortable for the horse. Unlike stainless steel, Sweet Iron, or other alloys, leather avoids a too-cold contact.

Usage advice: All Pelhams can be used directly, with four reins, or with martingales. Additionally, the action of the curb chain can be softened with other types of curb chains such as leather or nylon. The round leather mouthpiece helps avoid a too-cold contact in the horse's mouth and provides a lot of flexibility in the contact between the horse's mouth and the rider's hand.

Care advice: Rinse the bit well after each use to limit residue buildup and prevent discomfort for your horse. Oil the leather with a vegetable oil (Note: do not use neatsfoot oil or other synthetic oils) to maintain a soft and pleasant contact for your horse.
