- The design of the S-M10 offers a smooth and attractive aerodynamic profile, which is clean and free of external channels or features that could act as load points during an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet's construction.
- The curvature of the surface helps reduce friction during an impact, allowing for deviation and the most effective energy transfer to protect the rider’s head against direct forces on the skull that ripple through to the neck and spine.
- The sizing solution for the S-M10 shell ensures that each helmet size has its own appropriately sized shell to provide the most anatomically suitable solution for the wide variations of fit needs around the world.
- The removable side pads, made from a semi-soft polymer for extra protection, provide a larger contact area to help distribute impact energy.
- The patented A-Head mounting system allows for easy adjustment of the angle and height at which the helmet sits on the head.
- Ultra-ventilated helmet with 28 individual intake and exhaust ports, not counting the eye port, with 18 intakes and 10 outlets, for optimal ventilation.
- Multi-directional impact protection system (MIPS). - The construction of the helmet shell uses highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination:
- 3K Carbon, high-density outer carbon layer that enhances strength and energy dissipation efficiency on the shell
- Unidirectional carbon composite layer that provides significantly greater radial strength around the shell, preventing compression but allowing controlled deviation to reduce the transmitted impact energy
- Aramid fibre layer that provides critical penetration protection
- This combination of layers performs even better due to an epoxy resin binder that offers the best strength and energy management possible; limited deviation of the outer shell means that energy is spread over a wider area and better absorbed by the 4-density EPS liner.
- The new design of the chin bar profile, where the base area has been specifically sculpted to provide a relief section, elevated to clear the collarbone, with a new softer EPS liner that extends beyond the helmet shell itself, and is covered by a more flexible rubber compound reducing the risk of collarbone injury.
