The NATO strap was born in the 1960s when the British Ministry of Defence was looking for a durable strap to equip the watches of its armed forces. This military origin still resonates in its name (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation).

But despite its military roots, the NATO Kelton has adapted very well to civilian life, to the point of winning over the wrists of many watch enthusiasts.
