Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must first check if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair and return to the GPR factory or nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
