The Strangler Bar uses multiple terminated tubes, with an oversize option of 254 mm for cyclists who need the strongest handlebars possible.

Increasing the tube to 25.4 mm in diameter where the stem clamps the handlebars allows for a much firmer grip than the traditional 22.2 mm tube found on most handlebars and stems. Bars have been getting taller over the years, and the leverage that goes through the bar and into the stem often leads to the bar slipping in the stem or, worse, cracks at the clamping area on 2pc bars and especially on 4pc bars. The Strangler bar in 25.4 mm combines the 25.4 mm clamping area with a 25.4 mm grip tube that then tapers down to a standard 22.2 mm tube higher up on the bar. By using larger diameter tubes at the contact area, you almost double the amount of material in contact, resulting in a significantly stronger joint.
