Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-theft screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, and the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is the limit 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bag, flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the closest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
