Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-resistant screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public roadway traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on public roads and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if it were on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty and any warranty claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
