Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the bracket is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If any issues occur during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is this limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes the responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without a bag, flashlight, license plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any request for restitution will be rejected. This is from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
