Are removable Db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the bike as only on track, without luggage, flashlight, or registration plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty, and any requests for reimbursement will be rejected. From the time of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in replacement of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
