Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper bolts, or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, torch holder, number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. The misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the time of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer as a replacement for the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
