Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only permitted for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is needed in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty and any request for warranty will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with repair rights with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one for repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
