Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks. The use of the open version on the road is not compliant with regulations for public road traffic.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, and the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of improper installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, and each silencer bears the approval code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without saddlebags, without flashlight and license plate holder, or any parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the modification to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the moment of purchase, with the right to repair at the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
