Are removable db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on roads is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to a racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any request for return will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair by returning to GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the damaged one for repair; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
