Are dbkillers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug-and-play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? Yes.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on various platforms, including YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if it were on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the changed gas angle following the conversion to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any requests for a claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair at the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
