Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand if having the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed by a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions, and each silencer carries the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or assistance from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? Yes.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the packaging or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on a track only, without bags, without indicators, and without number plate holder or any other parts that could interfere with the different gas angle due to conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair at the expense of the customer, either to GPR’s factory or to the nearest official distributor.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one for repair; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
