Are the dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the public road network and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for race use; removing the dbkiller is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on a track only, without panniers, flashlights, or license plate holders or other parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into a race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
