Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fittings is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in cases of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use on the track; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, number plate holder, or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to track version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product's warranty. This starts from the date of purchase, with the right of repair to be returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one needing repair; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
