Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on the tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, customers must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or other parts that might conflict with the altered gas angle following the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty and any warranty claim will be rejected. This is from the date of purchase, with the right to repair and return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in exchange for the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard turnaround time for repairs.
