Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-theft screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not conform to public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed at a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activities, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is needed for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use. Removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on a track only, without saddlebags, flashlight, license plate holder, or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle resulting from the conversion to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
