Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-theft screws, or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not in accordance with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether having the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95dB for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that may interfere with the different gas angle resulting from the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official dealer at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
