Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or the anti-tampering screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if it were on a track only, without luggage, without flashlights, and without a number plate holder or other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle due to the switch to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair by returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
