Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not in compliance with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalytic converter is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions, each silencer has the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, and registration plate holder or any other parts that may conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. From the moment of purchase, with the right to repair and return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
