Are dbkillers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public roadway regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as the mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is advised to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and license plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to changing to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in voiding the product warranty. From the moment of purchase, with the right to repair, with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard timeframe for the repair.
