Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on roads does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for mounting: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed at a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If any issues occur during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It's recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on and on youtube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, torches, and number plate holders, or any other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the time of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
