Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper bolts or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, number plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
