Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or the anti-tamper screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic laws.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to seek immediate information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on youtube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the modification to racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
