Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road regulations and to conduct the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If any problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95dB for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on track only, without saddlebags, without flashlights, and registration plate support, or other parts that may conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, the right to repair remains with the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard repair time.
