Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper bolts or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is certified for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific certification is provided, as well as the assembly instructions, each silencer bears the certification code. If issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is necessary for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials online, including on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for use on track; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on a track only, without saddlebags, without a flashlight and without a number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following conversion to race version. Abusing this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with the return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
