Removable db killers? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with traffic regulations on public roads.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug-and-play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without panniers, without flashlight and without license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the throttle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
