Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible purely for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not in accordance with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, and no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, with no bag, no flashlight, and no number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to conversion to race version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the time of purchase, the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
