Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and number plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to race version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. Effective from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
