Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it's still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. If any problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, flashlights, and number plate holders or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle resulting from the transformation to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
