Are dbkillers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installation.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and license plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
