Are dbkillers and removable catalytic converters allowed? Altering the welds on the dbkiller and the catalyst or the anti-theft screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only allowed for RACING use on the tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it's still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In the event of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not only illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle resulting from the conversion to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the moment of purchase, with the right to repair with a return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
