Are dbkillers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the dbkiller and catalyst or the anti-tamper screws, or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not in accordance with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not to tourists.
It is to be mounted in a high position. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with repair rights returning to the GPR factory or the nearest authorized distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
