Removable db killers and catalytic converters? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalytic converter or tamper-proof screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals, which must also comply with local legislation. Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. This starts from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to re-mount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
