Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalytic converter or the anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with road traffic regulations on public roads.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is reputable and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
Side mount. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer is responsible for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following the transformation to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired, the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
