Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tamper screws, or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on public roads is not compliant with traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If you encounter any issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers the items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Side mounting. No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, flashlight, license plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
